By Article

For a particular article

Type that particular Article No. (1-395) in Search Window and press <Enter> key or click at Search by Mouse.

e.g. for searching Article No. 156

For more than one article

Type all the articles you want to search, with one space among them, in Search Window and press <Enter> key or click at Search by Mouse.

Notes-

  1. Articles can be searched from Article No. 1 to Article No. 395.

  2. For searching any Article from Article No. 1 to Article No. 9, type in Search Window 01 to 09 instead of 1 to 9.
  3. Article No. 232 is omitted (not present in Constitution of India.).
  4. Article No. from 379 to 391 are Repealed. These Articles are given under one record. For searching these Articles type 379-391 and press <Enter> key.

By Keywords

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE KEYWORDS

Click on INDEX, you will get a list of alphabets (A-Z), click at particular alphabet and there is a list of keywords. Against each Keyword, Referenced Article No. and Schedule Nos. are given. If you Click on these References, that particular Article/Schedule No. would be displayed.

IF YOU KNOW THE KEYWORDS

You may use Search facility. This provides Free Text Search with following three options.

  1. - contains all
  2. - contains any
  3. - contains the pharase

contains all

Type "All keywords in any order" You want to Search and press key or Click at Search by Mouse. The Result will show all Articles/Schedules, which have all the Keywords irrespective of their order.

e.g.

This will show all Articles/Schedules having keywords failure, constitutional, machinery and state.

Notes :

  1. It ignores all Stop Words (e.g. in, on, the, of, for, from etc.).
  2. It is not case sensitive (capital & small letters).
  3. Singular plural are immaterial.
  4. Order of keywords is immaterial.

Following searches will give same result as above.

Type "All keywords in any order" You want to Search. Choose option "contains any" and press key or Click at Search by Mouse. The Result will show all Articles/Schedules, which have any of the Keyword typed.

e.g.

This will show all Articles/Schedules having any of the one keyword or more keywords or all keywords failure, constitutional, machinery and state.

Notes :

All notes are given in "contains all" option are also true for "contains any" option also.

contains pharase

Type the Pharase as it is as given in Constitution of India in Search Window. Choose option "contains pharase" and press key or Click at Search by Mouse. The Result will show all Articles/Schedules, which have given "Pharase" as it is.

e.g.

This will show all Articles/Schedules having given pharase as it is .

Notes :

  1. It is not case sensitive (capital & small letters).
