We are often asked to identify the principal opponents
of constitutional republican government, called Lex Rex
in Latin, the Rule of Law. We can identify four main ones: reliance
interests, which find it more profitable to violate the
Constitution than try to comply with it, Marxism, social
conservatism, and fascist Islamism. We will deal with these in
several articles.
Contrasting conferences.
This is about two conferences that occurred in April, 2005,
which represent dramatically different and conflicting
approaches to constitutional issues. I disagree with both of
them.
