• Meetup - Free contact service to help like-minded people meet physically in their local areas, as multiple local groups on the same topic at the same local time all over the world.
• Yahoo Groups - If you join a group and get calendar privileges, you can have the function send reminders to group members of upcoming events.
• Evite - Free online service to send invitations for events to email lists, and process responses so you can plan for attendance.
• Google Groups - Read and post to Usenet newsgroups. Find like-minded people. Searchable archive of newsgroup postings back to 1995. In case you want to get everything someone posted on every newsgroup, you can find it here. They bought out dejanews.
• Idealist.org - Free contact services and other resources for activists and nonprofit organizations of all kinds.

• April 13 - Thomas Jefferson Birthday. Author of the Declaration of Independence. Leader of the "Revolution of 1800".
• April 19 - Patriots (Militia) Day. Battle of Lexington and Concord.
• July 4 - Independence Day. Signing of the Declaration of Independence.
• September 5 - Jury Rights Day. Anniversary of date when a jury, led by Bushell, acquitted William Penn, in 1670.
• September 17 - Constitution Day. Completion of the drafting of the Constitution in 1787.
• December 15 - Bill of Rights Day. Effective date for the first ten amendments to the Constitution in 1791.

4. Jefferson Forum - Meets in West Houston, Texas, monthly, usually at 8620 Windswept Lane Houston, Texas 77063, 713-975-6000. Contact Kamron Kirkconnell.
5. Austin Distinguished Speakers - Hosted by Travis County Libertarian Party. Usually meets monthly on the 3rd Sunday at the LCRA Hancock Bldg, 3700 Lake Austin Blvd, at 4:00-6:00 PM.
